This was a major project combining a large driveway replacement, a side walkway, and a custom front walkway with a unique cobblestone finish. The design called for a two-color system: a cobblestone base with a light gray secondary shade. Once sealed, the colors blended beautifully, creating a natural, stone-like texture with depth and character.

Addressing the Old Driveway

The original driveway showed significant cracking, especially at the control joints. This typically indicates a lack of rebar reinforcement and poor compaction in the original installation. To ensure the new work would stand the test of time, we addressed these issues with:

  • Proper soil compaction

  • A full 5-inch thickness

  • Reinforcement with rebar

Walkways & Drainage

The front walkway featured the custom cobblestone look, while the side walkway extension was poured in standard concrete to keep things functional and sturdy. To handle drainage, we installed a metal grate drain running through the custom walkway—an important detail for both longevity and safety.

Finishing Touches

The next day, we applied a sealer to the colored concrete, enhancing the gray tones and protecting the surface. The result was a crisp, elegant finish that perfectly complemented the home while offering the strength and durability of 4000 PSI concrete.

The final product not only solved the structural issues of the old driveway but also elevated the curb appeal with a timeless cobblestone aesthetic. Both we and the clients are extremely proud of how this project turned out.
